Hiphop Tamiza Adhi is a well-known name in Tamil cinema, known for his journey from music director to actor and director. So far, he has directed three films, and acted in all of them. His latest movie, Kadaisi Ulga Por, showcases his skills while playing the role of director, composer and lead actor.
Released on 20 September, Kadaisi Ulaga Por is a science fiction action thriller that has received positive reviews from both audiences and critics. However, despite the good response, the film struggled to find a mass audience. It faced stiff competition from several other new releases, which limited its screening opportunities. As a result, it quickly faded from theaters after its initial run.
Adhi’s ability to wear multiple hats in filmmaking shows his talent and dedication to the industry. However, the challenges he faced in gaining visibility for Kadaisi Ulaga Por shows how competitive Tamil cinema can be.

Kadaisi Ulaga Por Review – Innovative But Not Attractive!
#KadaisiUlagaPor…..🧐

Set in the future, "Kadaisi Ulaga Por", is a Tamil film about a fictitious new world order which attacks India for not aligning with it.
The film is rated PG13 with the consumer advice of "Violence".

Writing/Directing:
The futuristic story presents an interesting world but struggles with believability despite its technological prowess. The main issue is the rushed storytelling, which leaves important details unclear. The film tackles sensitive World War II themes aimed at a wider audience but caters mostly to Gen Z, resulting in a fast pace that doesn’t allow for the full development of innovative plot points. This rapid progression leads to a complete lack of emotional impact. The main situations seem overly convenient and lack the seriousness needed to engage the audience with the story. There are many logical gaps in the screenplay, which makes it a shallow experience. While the romantic subplot starts off strong, its execution is ultimately disappointing. The second half is better, giving situations more time to develop, but some clever moments near the end become repetitive, leading to a flat climax.
Performance:
Hiphop Tamiza is comfortable in her earnest role, but her character seems weak and fails to be compelling. Natty, on the other hand, shines with a strong performance and dynamic character arc, making her the best part of the film. Anga and Nasir have important roles, but do not exert a strong influence. Many of the supporting characters feel underdeveloped, leading to moments that make the story hard to follow.
Technical:
The music is unimpressive, with both the lyrics and the background score lacking excitement, while the sound quality often sounds hoarse and indistinct. Visually, the film works well, with attention to detail in establishing shots and close-ups. The sets look realistic, and the visual effects team has done a good job with the CG shots. However, the editing feels rushed, like the story or emotions haven’t had time to settle. The sound mix is poor, with dialogues and voice-overs often overshadowed by loud sound effects and music.
Bottomline:
The film has a grand story full of thought-provoking ideas, but it fails to come together into a believable production. The main problem is the rushed screenplay, which makes the first half weak and the second half good.
Rating – 2.5/5
