Devara: Part 1 is a 2024 Telugu action drama movie released. It was written and directed by Koratala Siva and produced by Yuvasudha Arts and N.T.R. Produced by Arts. The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Srikanth and Shine Tom Chacko in two roles along with NT. Rama Rao is a junior. The film is the first for both Khan and Kapoor in Telugu cinema.
The story follows Devara (played by Rao), the leader of a coastal village. He gets into a fierce battle with his rival Bhaira (played by Khan) over smuggling. What begins as a personal fight quickly turns into a larger struggle for power that threatens the entire region.
Celebrating Rama Rao’s 30th film as the lead actor, the film was first announced in April 2021 with the working title NTR30. The official title was announced in May 2023. Later, in late 2023, it was decided to split the film into two parts. The shooting of this part started in April 2023 and completed in August 2024, with shooting locations in Hyderabad, Shamshabad, Visakhapatnam, Goa and Thailand. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and the cinematography is by R. done by Rathnavelu, while A. Srikar Prasad handles the editing.

Devara Part 1 Review: Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan in Familiar Action Story
Devara is set in 1996 and tells the story of a brave police officer named Ajay. He and his team are trying to catch two criminals named Daya and Yethi. His search takes him to Singappa (played by Prakash Raj), who lives in Erasmudram (Red Sea). Singappa shares the story of Devara (NTR) and Bhaira (Saif Ali Khan).
The story flashes back to the 1970s, where we see Devara as a good man who thinks carefully before taking life. In contrast, Bhaira is cruel and kills without a sense of guilt.
Devara is the leader of a gang of pirates who steal from cargo ships, working on contract from Muruga (Murali Sharma). During one of his missions, Devara realizes that his actions harm many innocent people. When he decides to stop the robbery, he faces stiff opposition from Bhaira and Kunjara (Kalaiyarasan). Although Rayappa (Srikanth) supports Devara, he is soon threatened by Bhaira and Kunjara. The story unfolds as we see the escalating conflict between Devara and Bhaira.
