Chhaava (“Lion’s Cub”) is an upcoming Hindi epic historical action film that brings to life the story of Maratha King Sambhaji, portrayed by Vicky Kaushal. Based on Shivaji Sawant’s famous Marathi novel Chhawa, this cinematic adaptation is directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Madoc Films. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Akshay Khanna and Sunil Shetty in lead roles.
Pre-production began in April 2023, filming began in October 2023 and was completed by May 2024. Amitabh Bhattacharya with lyrics by A.R. The music composed by Rahman promises to complement the grandeur of this historical tale. Chhaava is all set to enthrall audiences when it releases in theaters on December 6, 2024.
