Baaghi 2 Movie Review: A Still From The Movie
Ronnie’s Mighty Rebellion
In Baaghi 2, the rebellion is of standard size, which Tiger Shroff perfectly embodies with his muscular frame. He is always grim and ready to strike with a mighty force. Step aside if you want to protect your life and limb!
Action-Packed But Repetitive
The action thriller relies on the impressive feats of its lead character, full of stunts and intense and captivating fights. These should be the highlights of the film. But even with a few twists to add excitement, the film quickly becomes repetitive and loses its charm.
A Predictable Plot
The hero, a tough and broken army commando, vents his anger on the enemies of the nation, always emerging unscathed no matter what challenges he faces. Unfortunately, the film fails to do so. The predictable plot, an invincible hero who answers a cry for help from a lover he left behind four years ago, and then faces off against a group of ruthless criminals, makes it difficult for the audience to emotionally connect with the characters.

Over-The-Top Action Spectacle
While the action scenes with explosions, chases, airstrikes and intense fights are impressive, they focus more on demonstrating the soldier’s power. And while these scenes are well done, shouldn’t they have been part of an actual “story”? The director doesn’t seem to care much about that, choosing instead to focus on style, not bothering with the details. This style mostly consists of taking the plot of the 2016 Telugu film Kshanam and turning it into a stage for Tiger to showcase his tough-guy-in-the-face-of-danger image.
A chaotic and predictable journey
Baaghi 2 feels more like a two-and-a-half-hour action spectacle than a proper film. Deepak Dobriyal’s character speaks of the importance of the heart and the mind. But neither of them stands a chance against the constant display of muscles, biceps and clenched fists. If you agree and like watching Tiger Shroff quite a bit, you might find the film funny at times. That’s exactly what the makers are hoping for. Tiger Shroff fans will surely enjoy it.
